Double degree option

The degree program is offered in cooperation with Syddansk Universitet (SDU) in Sønderborg, Denmark. By choosing the appropriate courses, it is possible for students to obtain both the Danish Cand. merc. int. degree and the German Master of Arts degree at the same time.

Note: SDU courses are in English and take place directly in Sønderborg (DK).

For more information, please visit our institute pages on the double degree.

Double master’s degree

The double master’s degree is awarded by the M.A. International Management Studies at Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) and the Danish Cand. Merc. Int. (CMI), also called M.Sc. in Business, Language and Culture, at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

Courses take place in Flensburg (Mon, Wed and Fri) and in Sønderborg/DK (Tues and Thurs). There is a bus shuttle that cost of 75€ per person per semester, which must be paid by the student. The bus runs between Flensburg and Sønderborg every Tuesday and Thursday to coincide with the lectures (once in the morning and once in the evening).

Knowledge of Danish is not required. However, English proficiency is required at SDU.

Please note: SDU courses are subject to a fee for non-EU citizens.

What is the application procedure?

First, you apply to only one of the two universities for a place in its master's program. The normal application deadline at SDU is February 1 for non-EU citizens and March 1of the same year for EU citizens (the program begins every year in the fall semester). The regular application period at EUF is between May 15 and July 17.

We recommend that you apply to SDU first (if possible) and then enroll at EUF in the summer, in consultation with the Danish secretariat. If the application period at SDU has already passed, you can also apply for a place in the International Management Studies M.A. program during the EUF application period. If there are any remaining places at SDU, you can apply for a place in the M.Sc. in Business, Language and Culture program afterwards.

Students who wish to pursue a double master’s degree must meet the admission requirements of both master's degree programs and be accepted into both programs.
