BrExit or Not: The EU and Great Britain On March 16th, Dr. Knut Roder, Senior Lecturer at the Sheffield Hallam University, held a lecture on the topic: "BrExit or Not: The EU and Great Britain". The event took place at the European Academy Sankelmark. Approximately 40 participants were present, including the Town President of Flensburg, Swetlana Krätzschmar. Guest lecture series The lectures are organized in cooperation with the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) and host prominent scholars and experts from different European institutions. The lecture series offers a unique chance to the students of the Europa-Universität Flensburg to discuss the issue of diversity, and its challenges and opportunities in the EU, together with the invited guests. The overall aim of the lecture series is to integrate the EUF and its students in a European discourse on the topic, contributing to the overall Europeanization and internationalization

Lecture 2 Dr. Tilman Lanz from University of Groningen gave a lecture on a topic of "Diversity in a changing Europe: challenge or opportunity?" at the Europa-Universität Flensburg on February 8, 2016. The lecture was organized in cooperation with the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) and it is the second lecture in the series. "External Solidarity: EU’s responses to global challenges" Organized within the Zukunftswoche 2015 at EUF, the conference "External Solidarity: EU’s responses to global challenges" aimed at raising the interest in academic research and at encouraging collaborations between students and lecturers (as well as among students themselves) from Europa-Universität Flensburg and the University of Southern Denmark. The participants from Denmark, Poland and Germany were guided through the program by the experts from Universität Flensburg, Syddanks Universitet, Technische Universität Dresden and from the European Center for Minority Issues (ECMI). [...] , all of the participants were taken on a sunny ferry ride with the ferry "Jürgensby" on Flensburg Fjord and past the Ox islands. The conference was sponsored by the Foundation for Polish-German cooperation .
at Europa-Universität Flensburg had a wonderful opportunity, Feb. 10th to Feb. 12th, to participate in an international student conference with representatives from the University in Penza, Russia, Prof Dr [...] -Universität Flensburg also were given the opportunity to help organize the conference, which allowed them to gain valuable practical experience in conference planning. The conference was a great success [...] the city of Flensburg, but also allowed for academic debate and the sharing of ideas between the students and lecturers. We hope to welcome our friends from the University of Penza again soon.
