By the way: The EUF General Code/Allgemeinen Kodex (which gives guidelines for interacting with each other, among other things) can be found under this link.
Are you an EUF student with cause to file a complaint, or do you have a suggestion for improvement? Then you can contact us with confidence.
If you have a technical problem related to your studies, you should first try to discuss the problem with your course lecturer. In other cases, please contact the appropriate EUF person, office or department. You can find an overview here (German version only).
If this doesn’t resolve the problem or conflict, you can contact the EUF's Office of Complaint and Improvement Management (BVM). Whether the problem is professional, organizational or personal doesn’t matter. In every case, the BVM —acting as a neutral mediator— works with all of the parties involved to to try find a solution.
We first ask you describe your issue sending an email to beschwerde-PleaseRemoveIncludingDashesfirstname.lastname@example.org. Depending on the content and urgency of your complaint, phone or in-person discussions might also be held.
Every inquiry to the BVM is handled confidentially. You can also contact us anonymously: all personal information is voluntary. Nevertheless, we may need your express consent before we can take any concrete action. For this reason, we at least need to be able to contact you (for example, via an anonymous e-mail address that you provide). Only if it is necessary will we pass on your personal data – and never without your specific consent.
Once the complaint procedure has ended, all personal data is deleted. BVM collects and evaluates complaints in an anonymous form, so that any structural problems can be uncovered and corrected. In this way, reporting a problem can help improve the quality of studies and teaching at EUF.
