The Projekt StoryTelling aims at supporting educational processes in science teaching. In this respect, both the scientific literacy as well as the competences with respect to the nature of science shall be improved. For this purpose, specifically designed stories are used as educational materials. These stories are based on historical episodes and structured according to the scheme proposed by Klassen (2010).
A particular aspect of the Flensburg StoryTelling approach is the emphasis on the actual narration by the teacher. Consequently, we have developed a format for the training of in-service as well as pre-service teachers that takes a particular focus on the required skills and competences. This project originated from a project funded by the EC (Storytelling @ Teaching Model, Project 518094-LLP-1-2011-1-GR-COMENIUS-CMP), part of the materials used in this website result from this project.
In a first step, we have designed the German version of the website which went online May 7th, 2015. In the next step, we are going to realize the English version of the website, which is supposed to be online in mid-July.
