Co-Design

Be a Co-Designer for Partners in Mobility

A special focus of our project is to involve you, the students, as co-designers of the project. By working together, we can flexible mobility paths at Europa-Universität Flensburg.

But what does it mean to "co-design" a project? And how can your support for the project also benefit you?

Basically, 'co-designing' means to design and set up very diverse projects in a way that brings together under one roof everyone involved.  In other words, it’s a process that involves both the project developers and future users. This enables us to achieve a result that perfectly combines the knowledge and experience of every person and group involved.

With Partners in Mobility, it looks like you students are the ones who are supposed to benefit from our project. You are our ‘end users,’ so to speak, and we want to be there to support you as you make your way abroad. After all, your student experience is what makes you the experts – and it’s your expertise is what will help us adapt our program in the best possible way to your specific wants and needs.

If you’d like to work together with a dynamic, diverse team to help plan or implement smaller events and activities connected to internationalization, then you’re in the right place. Here you can create your very own individual mobility paths just as creatively as you like – the possibilities are endless. From alumni exchanges to international pen pals to zoo guides in our partner university locations, we look forward to discussing any and all ideas from you that can support EUF students in their journeys abroad.

Model Cohort of 2019/20

Model Cohort of 2019/20

The project is aimed at one group in particular: you, the students!

That means all student teachers - and especially first-year students who began their studies in Fall Semester 2019/20, the so-called model cohort.

Mobility opportunities should be tailored to your needs so that, over the course of your studies, you have the opportunity to have experiences abroad that fit your life situation(s).

Since you—the class of Fall Semester 2019/20—are still at the beginning of your studies, we are especially interested in your wishes and ideas.

To understand what these are, we want to brainstorm with you. Based on your ideas and with your support, we want to develop new formats and courses.

Thanks to this unique setup, you will have a direct influence on the university’s international offerings at EUF. You can also attend these—possibly during your fifth semester, which has been set as the "mobility window" for your program.

We invite you to join us for coffee, tea and cookies at our next open project meeting.

International Ambassadors

International Ambassadors

Many of you have already experienced life abroad, and have now returned to Flensburg with a whole host of experiences and new knowledge in your luggage. Now it’s back to your daily study routine. Would you like to be internationally active here as well?

If so, take advantage of the opportunity to work dynamically and creatively with our project team as an international ambassador!

  1. As an international ambassador, you can share your experiences and support other students, for example by helping them to prepare for foreign study. Partners in Mobility provides an exchange platform that connects students to each other through peer-to-peer mentoring programs. As an international ambassador, you can become involved as an experienced mentor.
  2. You can also get involved in event management. Our event team is planning various kinds of events designed to support internationality and internationalization (upcoming dates). If you’d like to get involved in the planning, organization and implementation of one of these smaller or larger events, we look forward to your ideas and your commitment!
  3. Did you possibly write a blog or shot a travel video during your stay abroad, or do you plan to write one? Your reports about your experiences abroad are surely not only exciting for your own family and friends, but also for other students. We are always happy about writers who would like to be active on our blog and whose first-hand accounts of their time abroad can pique the interest of others.

What will you get out of it?

Partners in Mobility offers you a relaxed environment to try out your ideas and create something new as part of a young team. Since we ourselves are always continuing our education, as a project collaborator you, too, will have the opportunity to participate in seminars and workshops. What you’ll take away from these trainings will not only benefit your professional life, but also you personally!

And if you have other ideas that we haven’t mentioned here, that’s great. As far as we’re concerned, there are no limits to your creativity. We look forward to working with you!

We invite you to join us for coffee, tea and cookies at our next open project meeting. Just send us a quick email, and you’re in.
