Description

Language of instruction: German and Russian

The Russian course A1.2 builds on the content of the basic course A1.1. Thus, the course is suitable for Russian learners who have participated in the A1.1 course or have previous knowledge at A1.1 level. The focus remains on active speaking and understanding. Vocabulary is expanded through practical exercises and new topics.

The following topics are covered in this course:

Giving and asking where you live

  • Eating and meals
  • Daily routines
  • Telling the time
  • The grammar

The focus lies on time indications, possessive pronouns, prepositions, declension (prepositional + genitive) and plural formation of nouns.

The course is designed in such a way that the participants complete the second sub-level (A1.2) according to the European Framework of Reference in one semester.

During the course you will create a portfolio which documents your individual learning progress.

The course book covers chapters 4 to 7.

Regular and active participation is a prerequisite for successful completion of the course. It is also necessary to do homework in order to practise and consolidate what you have learned.

The course consists of 30 attendance hours. Attendance is compulsory. If you want to have a certificate of achievement, you may not be absent for more than 6 lessons (20%). The final grade is made up of 30% class participation and 70% final exam.

Target group:
The conversation course Russian A2-B1 is suitable for students with intermediate and advanced knowledge.
 
Course content:
This course is aimed at those interested in practising and expanding their communicative skills. The course participants should gain more confidence in using the language in everyday life and expand their vocabulary. Discussion and conversation are based on everyday situations, short texts, pictures, songs, current topics from society and culture. In this lively atmosphere, expression, vocabulary and comprehension can be practised in an informal way.
Regular and active participation is a prerequisite for successful completion of the course.
