Language of instruction: German

The language course "Chinese A1.1" is suitable for participants with no previous knowledge.

The main focus is on teaching the first basic knowledge of the Chinese language and writing. Based on everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers), basic knowledge of Chinese grammar, vocabulary (and writing) will be taught. In the development of word fields, topics that one encounters in China while traveling, at work, and in everyday life will be covered: Introducing people, introducing each other (name, nationality, profession or course of study, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests, directions and time.

An important part of the course is getting to know Chinese everyday culture. The focus of the grammar is on: learning the phonetic transcription (Pin Yin), first basic knowledge of Chinese characters, pronunciation, basic vocabulary and sentence formation (propositional sentences, interrogative sentences, prompts).

The focus of the lessons is on oral communication. In an active and pleasant classroom atmosphere, participants will develop a feeling for the Chinese language and thus confidence in real communicative situations within one semester.

This course lays a foundation that will enable participants to continue learning with course guidance or self-taught.

Regular and active participation is a prerequisite for successful completion of the course. This also requires the completion of homework in order to further practice and consolidate what has been learned.

The course consists of 30 attendance hours. Attendance is compulsory. If you want to have a certificate of achievement, you must not miss more than 6 class hours (20%). The final grade is made up of 30% class participation and 70% final exam.

Description

The Chinese A1.2 course is suitable for participants who have successfully completed the A1.1 course and would like to expand their knowledge.

In this course, interested students will learn the relevant vocabulary, idioms and grammatical structures based on the topics of "Chinese Food Culture" and "Family". Upon successful completion of the advanced course, participants will be able to confidently order, shop and pay in Chinese at restaurants. We will also learn how to arrange the time and place of a meeting with friends.


In contrast to the beginner's course, in the advanced course, Chinese writing - learning characters - will play as big a role as pronunciation and free communication.


Participants will learn the system of characters and practice reading and writing the characters in the units. At the same time, participants will also learn the input method, which enables them to write Chinese characters on the computer.
Furthermore, the contents and procedures of the Chinese language test (HSK) will be discussed. On this basis we will prepare for the HSK 1 exam.

Der Kurs umfasst 30 Präsenzstunden. Es besteht Anwesenheitspflicht. Wenn Sie einen Leistungsnachweis haben möchten, dürfen Sie nicht mehr als 6 Unterrichtsstunden (20%) fehlen. Die Endnote setzt sich zusammen aus 30% Unterrichtsbeteiligung und 70% Abschlussklausur.
