Description

The French A1.2 course is suitable for students with initial knowledge of French. Using everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; food and drink, travel, addresses and numbers), the basic knowledge from the French A1.1 course is consolidated and further developed. The course takes place once a week. The language course is designed so that participants complete the second sub-level (A1.2) according to the European Framework of Reference in one semester.
A language course lives on people meeting each other. It is therefore very important that you participate actively and prepare well for classes on a regular basis. We would like to point out that an online class put an emphasis on discussion tasks, while listening and reading tasks are likely to be left for self-study. An advantage of online classes is that you can get a detailed feedback on your written performance.
Course sessions take place in the form of meetings via Webex. Participants will receive the Webex invitation link by the first session.

Description

The B1.2 French course is designed for participants with solid basic knowledge of the French language who have successfully completed a B1.1 course with a certificate or have approximately 300 hours of French lessons. This cours focuses on acquiring upper-intermediate French knowledge through everyday topics (e.g. leisture time, media, the world of work, culture etc.). Participants will learn upper-intermediate vocabulary and phrases, improve their pronounciation, and deepen their knowledge of French grammar. Language level B1 (GER) will be achieved by the end of the semester.

The online sessions take place in Webex. In addition, we also use Moodle: There you can find various learning activities (e.g. forums, glossaries etc.) as part of the course. Participants submit their assignments via Moodle and then receive feedback. Currently there is no final exam. The overall grade results from several tasks that have to be submitted during the semester. Regular participation is required to complete the course successfully.
