Description
The course Finnish A1.1 is suitable for participants without previous knowledge. The main focus is on teaching the first basic knowledge of the Finnish language as well as an insight into the culture of the country. Topics of the course A1.1 are greetings and introductions/ asking for help if you don't understand something/ asking how you are/ asking for age, address or price/ describing characteristics of people/ telling about your own family/ months, seasons and the weather, furthermore we learn useful phrases for dealing with each other. Grammatically, we learn pronunciation, questions, negation, basic numbers, simple verb forms and the first cases.

Description
The course Finish A1.2 is designed for participants with the knowledge they acquired in the A1.1 course. The course is primarily intended to extend basic knowledge of the Finnish language as well as give an insight into the culture of the country. The major topics of the course are hobbies, surroundings (buildings, countries, cities and other subjects), vacations. Participants will, for example, learn to ask questions with "where" and "what", go shopping, order in a café, make appointments, talk about their week or clothes; tell the time; make phone calls. As far as grammar is concerned, the course is about verb types, colloquial language, imperfect tense, forms of possession, plural forms and cases of the noun (accusative, partitive, essive, genitive).
