The course Danish A1.1 is suitable for students without previous knowledge. It is primarily intended to provide a first basic knowledge of the Danish language.By means of everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers), basic knowledge of Danish grammar and vocabulary will be taught. During the development of vocabulary fields the following topics are mainly covered: Presentation of the person and introduction of persons (name, nationality, profession or course of study, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests. The grammar focuses on personal pronouns, possessive expressions, question particles, question words and nominal sentences.

Using everyday topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; food and drink, travel, addresses and numbers) the basic knowledge from the Danish A1.1 course is consolidated and further developed.The course takes place once a week. The language course is designed in such a way that the participants complete the second sublevel (A1.2) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in one semester. In the following semester the course Danish A2.1 can be taken.Chapters 6 to 10 are covered in the course book.

Language of instruction: Danish and German

This grammar course is aimed at participants who have successfully completed at least A2 level (A2.1 or A2.2).

Taking into account the individual abilities of the participants, in this course we will consolidate and further deepen the knowledge of Danish grammar. The focus of the grammar will be on adjectives and their intensification, verbs, relative clauses, passive and possessive pronouns.

The small number of participants allows the instructor to focus on the individual needs of the participants and to improve their grammatical skills.

This course is suitable for participants who have at least a B1 level of Danish and are looking for an opportunity to improve their oral skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

In the course we will talk (exclusively in Danish) about what makes Denmark special. We will look at Danish culture, topics will include Danish traditions and customs, the history of Denmark and the region, and insights into the language, such as idioms and language history.

Your own requests for topics will also be welcome.

The lessons will take place in the form of meetings via Webex. You will receive an invitation to Webex by email by the first day of class.
