The French B1.1 course is suitable for participants with a consolidated basic knowledge who have completed A2 language level.

This course focuses on the acquisition of advanced basic knowledge of the French language based on everyday conversation topics (e.g. leisure, media, work, culture, etc.).

Participants will become familiar with intermediate vocabulary and idioms, improve their pronunciation, and deepen their knowledge of grammar.

At the end of the semester, the first half of the language level B1 will be reached.

Target Audience:Students who will participate in an exchange program in France. Prerequisite: knowledge of French B1 or higherCourse Content:This course provides insights into everyday life in France - in the sense of the open concept of culture. Thus, the course is divided into three main topics: social life, cultural life and public life. Content and language aspects are brought together, i.e. practical tips are given on how to organize the semester abroad (e.g. accommodation, opening a bank account, the course of lectures), while communicative skills are further developed by means of role plays, etc.A course lives from the fact that people meet. It is therefore particularly important that you participate actively on a regular basis and prepare well. Classes will take place in the form of meetings via Webex. The course is administered via Moodle. There you will find the necessary course materials as well as additional materials. The teacher enrolls you in the Moodle course. You will receive the invitation to Webex by mail by the first day of class.Performance Record:Homework and an oral presentation (a flyer containing information on the country, tips on how to organize your semester abroad and language tools will be created by the course participants*, presented and made available on Moodle so that all course participants* can refer to it for their planned stay abroad).Workload:15 teaching units attendance in Webex30 units of self-study and homework15 teaching units for the creation of the flyer
