The language course "Chinese A1.1" is suitable for students without previous knowledge.
It primarily deals with teaching the first basic knowledge of the Chinese language and writing. By means of everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers) basic knowledge of Chinese grammar, vocabulary (and writing) will be taught. In the development of word fields, topics are dealt with which one encounters in China on travel, at work and in everyday life: Introducing people, introducing each other (name, nationality, profession or course of study, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests, signposts and time.
An important part of the course is to get to know the Chinese everyday culture. The grammar focuses on: learning phonetic transcription (Pin Yin), first basic knowledge of Chinese characters, pronunciation, basic vocabulary and sentence formation (statement sentences, interrogative sentences, prompts).
Oral communication is the focus of the lessons. In an active and pleasant teaching atmosphere, the participants will develop a feeling for the Chinese language within one semester and thus develop self-confidence in real communicative situations. In this course, a basis is laid to enable the participants to continue learning with course guidance or autodidactically.
