By means of everyday topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers) basic knowledge of Chinese grammar, vocabulary (and writing) will be taught. In the development of word fields, topics are dealt with which one encounters in China on travel, at work and in everyday life: Introducing people, introducing each other (name, nationality, profession or course of study, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests, signpost and time. An important part of the course is to get to know the Chinese everyday culture. The grammar focuses on: learning phonetic transcription (Pin Yin), first basic knowledge of Chinese characters, pronunciation, basic vocabulary and sentence formation (statement sentences, interrogative sentences, prompts).
