Description
Portuguese is the 4th European language most spoken in the world and the course of "Portuguese A1.1" will give the basic knowledge to start speaking this interesting language. The classes are carefully made for students to have a great experience and to learn a new language at the same time.
The focus of this initial course is to teach the basic expressions and guide students to start communicating in Portuguese, giving a primary contact with the language. The subjects covered in A1.1 will enable students to know the main greetings, basic grammar rules and practice listening and speaking in daily life situations.
Vocabulary will be taught approaching a variety of topics common to basic Portuguese as numbers, sending e-mails, giving addresses, tips for travelling, exchanging information, etc.
Listening and speaking will be incorporated in activities that are common in daily life, with support of interactive suggestions from the book used in classroom.
Grammar will focus in the main used verbs for communicating, plural, singular, pronouns, adjectives, prepositions and some words usually used for making questions.
Regular and active participation is required for successful completion of the course. The past courses showed that students had a great atmosphere in Portuguese classes and learned a lot in a short period of time.
