Target group:
The B1.1 English language level course is for students who want to expand on their previous English language knowledge at an intermediate level. The course is suitable for students who have completed an A2.2 course (pre-intermediate) or have approximately 240 classroom hours of English language lessons.
Content:
The focus of this is on intermedaite English language skills. Attention is paid to the four primary language skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The course is rooted in an English for academic purposes pedagogy but is applicable to everyday life.
The course has an online and classroom component.
Assessment:
Regular and active participation in the class. Completion of homework assignments. Exam on the last day of class.

The course is suitable for students who have completed B1-level or have approximately 360 classroom hours of English language lessons.
Students who have completed a general English language B2 course would find some of the course repetitive, but would learn new vocabulary and specialized communication activities for a business context.

The focus of this course is on upper intermediate English language skills. Attention is paid to the four primary skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a business context. The course is rooted in an English for specific purposes pedagogy with the incorporation of some business theory, but grammatical structures are applicable to other contexts.

Target group:
English Language Through Film is an English course for students at the B2-C1 level who want to strengthen their existing English skills, refresh skills they have, or who are planning on going abroad in the next semester. The course uses short films as an object of analysis, a starting point for discussion or a writing activity, and/or vocabulary building.
Course content:
The focus of this course is on upper intermediate and advanced English language skills. Particular attention is paid to general knowledge topics, conversational topics, and English for academic purposes. You will learn a little bit about film and whole lot about how to use the English language appropriately in an academic context. You will learn to take notes, build an argument, present information, hold a discussion, and write short essays. Regular and active participation is required for successful completion of the course. This includes the completion of homework in order to continue practicing and consolidating what has been learned in the classroom. Attendance is compulsory.
Assessment:
There will be a written exam on the last day of the course.
Students will also present their own analysis of a short film.
Regular written homework.

English Literature Short Stories C1/C2 is an English course for students at the C1-C2 level who want to strengthen and expand their English reading comprehension, writing, and speaking/discussion skills. The course uses classic and contemporary short stories as an object of analysis for written and oral communication activities.
Course content:
The focus of this course is on advanced English language skills. Particular attention is paid to reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical writing and discussion. You will gain cultural knowledge, how the English language is used to produce ‘literary’ texts, and how to use the English language appropriately in an academic context.
