Spanish: DELE Exam
The DELE exam is an internationally recognized Spanish exam conducted by Instituto Cervantes, headquartered in Madrid. The test can be taken in the A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels according to the European Reference Framework.
Since 2008, the Europa-Universität of Flensburg has been working intensively with the Instituto Cervantes giving students a 40% discount on the examination fee. This is the highest discount possible in Germany for students. In particular, the participants of the B1 examination receive an additional preparatory course. Please note that the preparation course is only for students/employees of the EUF.
Europa-Universität Flensburg offers the DELE exam twice a year.
Structure of the Exam

Level A2
The exam consists of 4 parts:
- Part 1: Reading comprehension (60 minutes)
- Part 2: Listening comprehension (about 35 minutes)
- Part 3: Written expression (50 minutes)
- Part 4: Verbal expression (15 minutes and 15 minutes preparation time)
Level B1
The exam consists of 4 parts:
- Part 1: Reading comprehension (70 minutes)
- Part 2: Written expression (40 minutes)
- Part 3: Listening comprehension (40 minutes)
- Part 4: Verbal expression (15 minutes and 15 minutes preparation time)
Level B2
The exam consists of 4 parts:
- Part 1: Reading comprehension (70 minutes)
- Part 2: Written expression (80 minutes)
- Part 3: Listening comprehension (40 minutes)
- Part 4: Verbal expression (15 minutes and 15 minutes preparation time)
Level C1
The exam consists of 4 parts:
- Part 1: Reading Comprehension and Speech Application (90 minutes)
- Part 2: listening comprehension and speech (50 minutes)
- Part 3: Integrated skills. Listening comprehension and written expression and interaction (80 minutes)
- Part 4: Integrated skills. Reading comprehension and oral expression and interaction (20 minutes and 20 minutes preparation time)
Level C2
The exam consists of 3 parts:
- Part 1: Speech, reading comprehension and listening comprehension (90 minutes)
- Part 2: Integrated skills. Listening comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression and interaction (150 minutes)
- Part 3: Integrated skills. Reading comprehension and oral expression and interaction (20 minutes and 30 minutes preparation time)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for private or professional reasons after registration must be submitted in writing to the responsible examination center. We ask for your understanding that we can only reimburse the examination fee for the DELE exam under the following conditions:
Cancellation
100% of the examination fee will be reimbursed upon notification up to 14 calendar days after the enrollment date. However, this only applies if the registration period has not yet expired.
Refund
40% of the examination fee will be reimbursed at the time of notification of up to 5 calendar days after the expiry of the registration deadline.
After this, unfortunately no change is possible. Registration in another German or foreign examination center is not possible.

The following documents are necessary to register for the DELE examination:
- A copy of your study ID (only EUF students)
- A direct debit form. The examination fee is paid by direct debit. The direct debit form can be found here.
