The International Institut of Management and Economic Education introduces itself
Economic sciences and more...
The International Institute for Management and Economic Education (IIM) looks at economic phenomena with an extraordinary range of different perspectives. The spectrum ranges from the classic theory of business administration and economics as well as business psychology to sociological and juridical perspectives.
- This interdisciplinary research profile allows different approaches, however, substantially revolving around the phenomenon of "organization" – be it from the micro or macro perspective, be it from the point of view of economy, sociology or psychology.
Solidly and well-positioned...
The IIM is an institute of Europa-Universität Flensburg with eight ordinary professorships and further extraordinary and associated professorships.
The institute currently supervises about 1,000 students from 59 countries in the disciplines of International Management and European Studies as well as economy and politics within the mediation sciences and, thus, about a quarter of Europa-Universität Flensburg.
With about € 900,000 in the year 2011, the institute generates about 32 % of the third-party funds of all institutes at Europa-Universität Flensburg.
Cooperative and interregional...
The IIM feels obliged to the region and intensively cooperates with companies and organizations, but also with Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, e.g. at the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Center for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
At the same time, internationality plays a key role in research and teaching. Apart from degree programs in German and English, teaching sessions in Danish and Spanish language are also offered in order to ensure employability in key economic areas.
In this context, the significance of the cross-border courses of study offered together with the Syddansk Universitet is outstanding.
