The International Institute for Management and Economic Education (IIM) looks at economic phenomena with an extraordinary range of different perspectives. The spectrum ranges from the classic theory of business administration and economics as well as business psychology to sociological and juridical perspectives.
- This interdisciplinary allows different approaches, however, substantially revolving around the phenomenon of "organization" – be it from the micro or macro perspective, be it from the point of view of economy, sociology or psychology.

The IIM is an institute of Europa-Universität Flensburg with eight ordinary professorships and further extraordinary and associated.
The institute currently supervises about 1,000 students from 59 countries in the disciplines ofand as well as economy and politics within the mediation sciences and, thus, about a quarter of Europa-Universität Flensburg.
With about € 900,000 in the year 2011, the institute generates about 32 % of the third-party funds of all institutes at Europa-Universität Flensburg.
