Description

Objective and Procedure:

The course is designed to provide an insight into the processes and of research in industrial and organizational psychology. The development of a new topic as well as the first phases of a research project will be covered. The goal of the seminar is to develop hypotheses.

In this seminar, implications for leadership behaviour are developed with regard to the current challenges for employees (digitalization, flexibilization, pandemic) in the home office. Leadership concepts, different aspects of today's working environments as well as their consequences will be presented and discussed in the form of short presentations and exercises. The results will be presented as posters and presented afterwards.

Description

Die Teilnahme am Kolloquium ist verpflichtend für alle Studierenden, die nach der Prüfungsordnung 2017 studieren.


Inhalt:
Im Rahmen des Kolloquiums werden den Teilnehmer*innen verschiedene Themen rund um das wissenschaftliche Arbeiten nähergebracht, wie bzpw. Phasen einer Abschlussarbeit, Themensuche und -eingrenzung, Literaturquellen und -datenbanken, Literatursoftware, Bewertungskriterien, formale Anforderungen, Zitationsstile, Exposé-Erstellung sowie die Fallstudienmethodik. Zusätzlich gibt es an verschiedenen Terminen die Möglichkeit, Probleme und Fragen in der Gruppe untereinander zu erörtern. Ferner dient das Format dem Austausch über wissenschaftliche Fragestellungen.


Ziel:
Das Kolloquium hat zum Ziel, während des Erstellungsprozesses der Praxis- oder Masterarbeiten eine begleitende Betreuung zu gewährleisten und die Qualität der wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten zu verbessern. Es bietet ein Forum für die Vorstellung der laufenden Arbeiten sowie für die Diskusion grundlegender Fragen zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten.

Participation in the colloquium is mandatory for all students studying according to the examination regulations 2017.

Content:

During the colloquium, the participants will be introduced to various topics related to scientific work. These include for example the phases of a thesis, the search for and definition of topics, literature sources and databases, literature software, evaluation criteria, formal requirements, citation styles, the preparation of an exposé, and case study methodology. In addition, there are opportunities on various dates to discuss problems and questions among the group. Furthermore, the format serves as an exchange about scientific issues.

Objective:

The colloquium aims to provide accompanying supervision during the process of writing the practical or master's thesis (Gegenüberstellung so gewollt, oder Lieber Bachelor und Masterarbeiten? àggf. In der dt. Version ändern) and to improve the quality of the scientific work. It provides a forum for the presentation of the current progress of ongoing theses as well as for the discussion of fundamental questions about scientific work.
