Curriculum vitae

Nicolas Malz has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Energy and Environmental Management at the European University of Flensburg since April 2022. Prior to joining the team at EUF, Nicolas worked as a research assistant at the Berlin Institute of Technology's Workgroup for Infrastructure Policy (WIP) from 2020 to 2021. 

Before graduating in 2021, he was a student of public policy and business administration & economics at the University of Passau. He is currently pursuing a second undergraduate degree in computer science at the LMU Munich.

As a research assistant, Nicolas supports on a wide range of research topics related to the governance of extractive industries, specific countries’ climate and energy policy, and their transnational implications. The geographic focus of his research lies on the People's Republic of China, Colombia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
