Curriculum vitae

Felipe Corral Montoya ist seit Januar 2022 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Instituts Energie und Umweltmanagement an der Europa-Universität Flensburg. Seit 2020 arbeitet er an der TU Berlin als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in dem Fachgebiet der Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturpolitik.

Nach seinem Bachelorstudium der politischen Ökonomie an der Universität Heidelberg und einem Master of Public Policy an der Hertie School in Berlin, war Felipe seit 2018 als wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft in der Forschungsgruppe CoalExit beschäftigt. Bei CoalExit und später am Projekt CINTRAN interessierte er sich für Strukturwandel in Kohleregionen, Governance von Rohstoffförderung und Klima- und Energiepolitik, vor allem im globalen Süden. Dabei liegt sein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf der politischen Ökonomie vom Extraktivismus.

Felipe Corral Montoya has been a research associate at the Institute of Energy and Environmental Management at the European University of Flensburg since January 2022. Since 2020 he has been working at the TU Berlin as a research assistant in the field of economic and infrastructure policy.

After completing his bachelor's degree in political economy at the University of Heidelberg and a master's degree in public policy at the Hertie School in Berlin, Felipe has been working as a research assistant in the CoalExit research group since 2018. At CoalExit and later in the CINTRAN project, he was interested in structural change in coal regions, governance of raw material extraction and climate and energy policy, especially in the Global South. His particular focus is on the political economy of extractivism.
