Validation of the questionnaire on student-related self-efficacy (SS-TSES) and the screening for behavioral problems in schools (SVS)

Our working group from the Europa-Universität Flensburg, the University of Cologne, the University of Leipzig and the Ludwigsburg University of Education is conducting a new validation and standardization of a screening for the assessment of behavioral problems in schools (SVS; Mutzeck, Hartmann & Fingerle, 2003) in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Michael Fingerle (Goethe University Frankfurt). In addition, the Dutch questionnaire for the assessment of student-specific self-efficacy expectations (Student-Specific TSES; Zee & Koomen, 2015) was developed in cooperation with Prof.' Dr.' Marjolein Zee (University of Rotterdam) and Prof.' Dr.' Helma Koomen (University of Amsterdam) for use in German. The sample comprised teachers at three locations in Germany: Cologne, Leipzig and Halle. The analyses were carried out in cooperation with other university locations.

Based on the analyses, possibilities for professional support for teachers working with students with behavioral problems in different school settings are to be derived.
