M.A. European Studies
Overview & Profile
General Information
Program profile
The European Studies master’s degree program at Europa-Universität Flensburg focuses mainly on regional development. Some municipal and regional agencies and organizations prioritize promoting cultural, educational, and societal underlying conditions in certain areas, in order to ensure the constant growth and development of the population’s living conditions. Thus, there is a demand for trained staff whose knowledge and skills enable them help prepare, support and implement development tasks in European regions.
This is an international program with students from all over the world. A key focus is to give students a comprehensive and detailed overview of relevant topics in the humanities and social sciences, such as economic and political theories, European law, European ideas, and European contemporary history. The program includes both required and elective courses, with the required courses built up around the program’s core axes: Europe, regions, and development.
