The MEng Programme in Brief

Degree: Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Management (Industrial Engineer/WirtschaftsingenieurIn)
   
Admission requirements:
  • proof of Proficiency in the English language (TOEFL iBT Score 80, IELTS Band 6)
  • above-average Bachelor or equivalent university degree in Industrial or Business Engineering after a minimum of four years of studies and a professional experience of at least two years in a field related to the course focus

    or
     
  • an above-average Bachelor or equivalent university degree in Engineering after a minimum of four years of studies and a professional experience of at least two years in a field related to the course focus and proof of successful completion of the preparation course in economics
   
Accreditation: Accredited by ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e.V.)
   
Beginning of Programme: The programme begins in March with a six month pre-semester beginning in September the year before, comprising economics and German language.

Registration Deadline: 31 July one and a half years before the course begins at the University
   
Final-Application Deadline: 31 August one and a half years before the course begins at the University, for receipt of all in one pdf of application documents for Admission and DAAD Scholarship
   
Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is available within the programme "Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries".
   
Tuition Fees: No tuition fees, contribution to costs of excursions etc. will occur. More information about costs is available in the faq section.
   
Enrolment and Semester Fees: A non-recurring administration fee of 25 EUR for enrolment and a semester fee of 235 EUR per semester. The semester fee includes a semester ticket covering public transport within Flensburg and Schleswig Holstein for the duration of one semester. Cost of Living: The living cost in Flensburg are generally slightly lower than in bigger German cities. Depending on the individual lifestyle a minimum of 600 EUR to 700 EUR is recommended per month, including rent. More information about costs is available in the faq section.
