INEES
INEES is an international multidisciplinary network of Universities in Bangladesh, the Caribbeans, Columbia, Ghana and Germany that seeks to develop effective means in university education to support the achievement of environmental sustainability, both in developing and industrialised countries.
The partnership involves university staff and students from disciplines such as engineering, education, economy, physics, geography, biology and philosophy.
The partners aim at
- Building up capacity in the field of sustainable energy at different levels of the institutions
- Strengthening the established bi- and multilateral partnership between the partner universities
- Qualifying university staff in all partner countries in subjects related to sustainable energy and education for global sustainable development
- Raising awareness within the partner universities for development problems and intercultural understanding with a focus on sustainable energy
- Founding members at the Planning Workshop 2009 in Jamaica
