In a globalised environment the project "environmental and global studies" underlines the linkages between people and the environment across different parts of the world. It is approached from a philosophical, environmental, gender and sociological point of view in order to raise environmental awareness and foster behaviour in vision of global sustainable development by identifying existing barriers as well as drivers. This will include sharing knowledge and strategies from different disciplines, developing an integrated study course on global environmental sustainability, promoting exchanges of staff and students and publishing a resource book with case studies from different countries.

Diesen Projekt ist Teil des INEES- Netzwerks der Universität Flensburg, ein Internationales und interdisziplinäres Lehrforschungsprojekt, das vom DAAD im März 2010 über die Laufzeit von vier Jahren bewilligt wurde.
