Anna Grutza studied Media Culture at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar, Information et Communication at the Université Lumière Lyon II in France and European Studies at the Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Poland. She holds a Master degree in Cultural Media Research of the Bauhaus-University and a Master degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies of the College of Europe (Natolin).
From October 2014 to June 2015 she was granted a sholarship of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research. From October 2015 to February 2016 she worked for the DG Education and Culture (EAC) and participated in the Bluebook Traineeship Programme of the European Commission.
Currently she works as Acadamic Assistant at the Chair for European Media Studies at the Europa-Universität Flensburg where she writes her PhD about "Europe’s secret agents and the power of things: A transnational media history of actor-networks in the Cold War."
